Your local dealer should be able to do the re-flash of the navi that makes it play mp3's...mine did it 4.5 years ago for no charge.

I tried this myself and ended up with a junk radio others on here as well. Do yourself a favor and find a dealer that will do it for you. Believe me I like to do things myself and this seemed so easy to do, until you put that second disk in and it never finishes the install.

Here's a thread with the info you need:

Scroll down to post# 36 where there are links for you to download the files and burn the discs required.
I did the upgrade myself on my 2005, and it worked great.
As has been mentioned, you can brick the radio if you don't do the procedure correctly.
MAKE SURE you put in an ignition mode other than ACC!!!!
If you put the ignition in ACC, the electrical system can shut down after a short period and mess up the upload of your new software.
You can put the ignition in a mode that will keep the car's electrical system on for a longer period. PUSH and HOLD the bottom of the ignition button for about 10 seconds or so and it will keep the system powered up long enough to do your upgrade.
It was 5 years ago when I did it, but if I recall correctly, I hooked up a battery charger and just pushed the top of the start button without pushing down the clutch - that powers up the electrical system just as if you started the car, but the engine doesn't start and the electrical system won't time out. I think I turned off the headlights and the air conditioning, and the upgrade probably took 10 or 15 minutes but the electrical system stayed powered up the whole time and now I can (or my brother-in-law can, because he now owns the car) play MP3 CDs.
Good luck, but you MUST NOT LET THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TIME OUT AND TURN OFF!!!

If you want I'll mail u the two discs. Think of it as a "pay it forward" thing as I got them from another forum guy on here about a year ago.
