I too recommend you contact Spin! He's kind of a cam guru around here. Tell him the manners and HP you want and he'll suggest something. Can't have huge HP and stock manners though.

Just remember that there's a whole big world of cams out there that aren't advertised (custom spec). Don't think you have to pick from what you see in anyone's catalog. I might consider similar specs to the cam you're looking at for an f/i application. I wouldn't use it, but the specs of what I would use might be close. No way would I use that exact cam with those huge lift specs. There's absolutely no reason to subject your valve springs to that much lift.

I would be very happy with #'s like you are making.
This was an A6 car. It had LG headers, Callaway honker and stock rear mufflers. Forgot to add that the dyno test was done if 4th gear seeing how it is the closest to being 1:1 in an A6 car. Your other mod to follow would be to add a set of 315 gears to the rear. This would really liven things up for you. I think the GT11 is a good car, drives like stock, and other than the power increase you would feel, no one would know you did anything to the car.

Another cam I used was a 228/228 on a 115 which worked well to, but it has a bit of a cam lope. This too was in a LS2 A6 car, with AFR heads that Tony Mamo hand worked, and ARH headers this car made in excess of 470, I can't remember what th tq was but it ran great, the car is driven hard and gets a steady diet of HPDE events at the local tracks.

I like this cam seems to work nice, and runs smooth. 231/243, ..617/.623 113+4 MAKES GREAT POWER IDLES AT 850 RPM.

I see that you shift at 7k...any idea what Lignefelter recommends concerning setting the rev limiter in an otherwise stock LS3?

Default Advise on cams...

hey guys, I need an advise from experts which cam shall I go for.

I have the Caprice 2014 SS which has the L77 Engine, currently doing 390WHP, full exhaust X-force 2.5 inch, headers 1 3/4 currently having the ZR1 stock Cam.

I have done a small research for the best Cams among the below:

which cam produces the best WHP with the very smooth on idle?

which one produces the best WHP with rough idle?

regards
ALLAZ
