Default F'in lowering bolts

so i just spent all day tackling the lowering bolt install. the bolts were super frozen into the spring, so i had to remove the front leaf spring, cut down two sides on the round part of the bushing so there were two flat edges, then put that into the vice in order to get the bolts to even budge. they weren't cross threaded, just rusted solid in there. once broken free they began to turn but still not easily.

anyway i put everything back together and installed the hardbar bolts, all the way down. once shes cleaned up i'll take some pics.

I went with hardbar bolts too and the ride height looks great!

Ouch sounds like you gotta do what I did then. It's a pita. You don't need to pull the shock, just unbolt it, the sway bar, and the upper Aarm bolts that hold the a-arm to the frame. Then you can wiggle the spring out after it's unbolted from under the car.

honestly you need to soak them with a good penetrant and then soak them again a couple days later, then use a 1/2" ratchet with an impact socket and you will be able to work them free. After getting them to move any little bit, put more penetrant on them and you will be able to work them free.

I must have had it easy. After I jacked up the spring to take pressure off the bolt, it turned by hand.

i didn't even know they make 1/2" drive 10mm impact sockets, but the socket wasn't the issue. the bolt began to strip..after the slightest hint of rounding on the head of the bolt, i decided something else needed to be done, so i began disassembling everything

I think I used a half a can of pb blaster on one bolt on multiple occasions... didnt budge... annoying to say the least...
