Default Electric pass seat wiring diagram?

I'm converting my manual passenger seat to electric to please my wife and already have a 2006 electric frame.

Does anyone have the wiring schematics for the electric seat connections?

Thanks in advance!

Any way I could get a copy of the electric seat wiring on the 2005 C6 with memory seats/telescoping steering.

My driver's seat motor keeps trying to do something every 15 seconds and it clicks every 15 seconds. The seat doesn't move but the seat motor gets extremely hot (hot enough to melt the wires under the seat which it did). I need to get this fixed so I can use my power seats again...

The lumbar motor and the side squeeze thing motor both work ok, but something is wrong with the main motor or brain connection under there. I repaired all of the burnt wiring, but it is still acting up and being very strange. Somehow this activity that my drivers' seat is doing (turning on by itself with car on or off, but not moving the seat, the motor just clicks on, grunts a little, then clicks off, every 15 seconds).

Somehow it is not blowing the 30amp ceramic silver fuse in the far right of the fuse panel in the pass. seat floorboard, but I have that fuse removed right now so my C6 doesn't catch on fire tonight and burn my garage/house down after it inevitably would have caught the carpet on fire.

I have 1st degree burn blisters on my hand to show how hot the motor got after only 30 minutes of this weird activity.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. I have inspected all of the plugs and connections under the seat for corrosion and they all look good to me.

This is a 2005 C6. I also have the "Service Active Handling"/"Reduced Engine Power" bug in it as well, which was not part of that recall, but it was a common problem on the C5 due to ground issues.

I did the "Kawal seat mod" to my 2006 Z06 for the same reason you are!!

I think Ray's great DIY info on his website should answer about all your questions.

http://www.kawal.net/power%20seats.htm

If you have the OnStar module under the seat, Ray has instructions for moving that. I don't have OnStar in my Z06, so I just had to run one power wire and everything else was plug-n-play!!

Did you have any success ?

i'm trying to upgrade to 2013 seats from a 07 LT1 configuration a manual

passenger to full power passenger set up, looked at the Kawai site and my

connectors didn't have what he was showing so now i'm stuck?

his photos show a ground wire already in the connector?

my underseat connector does not have power or ground?

so now i'm going to have to do it another way... any suggestions?

Some help here would be greatly appreciated.

Well I don't know how much I can help you. As I started from scratch with the electrical as of course there was no electrical supply to the original C 3 seats. Of course I didn't got the sideairbag to funktion, but the heating, 3 way power and air pump for the lumbar support all funktion now. I tryed to attaché some fotos of my electrical connections under the seats but this i-pad can't find my fotos so I'll try later from my pc.

ps I also used the information from kawal.

Hey, didn't mean to bring an old thread back to life but i just found out that on my C6 corvette the wiring harness underneath the passenger seat is all melted up and is tripping the airbag light. Could anyone help how i go about to solve this problem? Do i just need to buy the new connectors or the entire wiring harness? is it possible to just connect each wire on its own and bypass the connectors? Also, since this could be a safety issue, why isn't there a recall on this?

I have never heard or seen this before .... something caused this to happen that is not normal

did the connector ever get wet? were the terminals corroded ?

Are the seat motors working like they should be ?
