Hi guys. I have a 2006 corvette and I'm having problems getting into my car. Every morning when I leave for work it takes about 5 minutes or so to get into my car. The unlock button, trunk and alarm buttons all do not work. After touching the handle several times the door finally opens. After I drive the car around a bit the keyless entry work fine. I took it to the dealership and they checked the battery in the FOB remote and they said it was fine. Do you think it could possibly be my car battery??? B/C it seems that the FOB entry only works after the car has been running and warmed up. Has anyone experienced this problem???

I would do the inexpensive things first....replace the battery in the FOB, regardless of what the dealer says. See if that cures the problem. If not, charge the 12v battery overnight & check again. If still "no go" try the 2nd FOB (you do have a 2nd don't you?). If all that fails, there may be a fault in the BCM (Body Control Module), which will require another trip to a dealer who can do a good electrical check.
Might be dirty door switch pad contacts. It's about a 15 minute job to take them off and clean them if you're into such activity. Here's a thread with info. Good luck.
I agree with all the above. Also, if this is always happening at the same location but not at other places you may have some interference there with the fob signal. You can move the fob around (hold it higher/lower/left/right). Many things can cause it.

I just did this to my 05 today on my lunch break. Very easy to do and now opens much better. I was having to press the switch multiple times to get the door to open. Most times the window would drop but the door would not open fully.
Thanks for the tip. This site is great, especially for a new C6 owner like me!
It just doesn't make sense. When I'm pressing the FOB remote buttons to unlock or open the trunk nothing happens. Usually when you press the unlock button the lights flash. Does anyone think their is a good chance my car battery is almost dead??? This might be a far reach but my GF bought me one of those balance bracelets around the same time I started having problems getting into the car. The bracelet is made out of some weird silicon or something and maybe it's interfering with the connection. Reason I say this is b/c i wear it every single day and tonight I took it off and after work went to open the door and it popped right open. IDK.
So a couple of days ago when this cold front came through my FOB completely died. I changed my car battery and nothing. Only way I could get in was through the trunk. I inserted the FOB into the glove compartment and it powered right up. Took it over to Chevy two days ago and they scanned my car and $550 later they tell me its the sensor in the door that needed to be replaced. After replacing it they still cannot get it to work and now tell me that they have to get GM involved now. WTH!!! Is there a possibility of them charging me more money even though they might have replaced something that didn't need being replaced??? I'm baffled and pissed.
I would be very strong with the dealer for such an expensive repair that yielded no results.... most Fob problems have to do with the battery in the Fob or position of the Fob.... clean the door switches as one member suggested... I find logic helps, and logic is not always found in abundance at some dealers... my suspicion is that when you find the problem it will be something simple... good luck with this - it is frustrating but the solution is out there... do not throw parts at it... start with the simple / inexpensive stuff.....

I'm sure the fix can't be that simple but....
I had a similar problem towards the end of last winter, if my FOB was too cold from me being outside for a while it would not open the door until I warmed it up in my hands. Of course it's my original (now almost five year old) FOB battery LOL.
I put off changing the battery throughout the summer because it once again worked fine in the warmer months but last week I had that trouble again while at the track (again, standing out in the cold) and I just changed the FOB battery.
Problem completely solved.
