Default LS2 differences

Can someone briefly explain the differences between the 2005 and 2006 LS2 engines? Thanks for helping a noob!

Pretty sure there are not any engine differences just body (no antenna) and interior(steering wheel). The diff is weaker on the 05's but thats all I can think of.

Are you asking about whole car differences or just engine differences?

While there may be smaller, subtler differences the major one you need to know about is the reluctor wheel which a 24x for the 2005 and 58x for the 2006 (and later) engine.

True, and of course the one biggie, among the automatics at least...the 4L65E 4 speed automatic was replaced by the 6L80E 6 speed automatic.

The crank pulley loosens up on the 2005 LS2 and is expensive to repair.

With an ARP bolt, yes. Not with the factory TTY unit.
