Default Mods you regret......

Well i just made one , Pulled my Z06 exhaust and installed the Corsa Sport dual tip system. The Corsa sounds good and the no-drone factor is nice , but man it just does not have that mean spirited growl and thunder that the Z06 exhaust put out. Hell , my wife did'nt even know i left the garage tonite for a test drive.. Usually the windows rattle , and she can hear me from blocks away.
Anyway , I think i'll run the Corsa's for awhile to see if the regret diminishes , if not , the Z06ers go back on....

So what mods do you regret ?????

None....yet.
Thus far I chose my mods carefully with my game plan in my head and made sure before jumping. So far, so good.

Go with the Corsa extreme. My wife hears me on the main highway 2 miles away from the house. I'll trade you the sports for my extreme's. I don't know if they would interchange though.

Tunnel plate.

What was I thinking? I'm fairly certain it didn't do a darn thing.

Now it props up the wall of my garage.

Can't imagine what they would sound like with a stock exhaust manifold. Ultra quiet i would think.
Glad i have A/R headers to wake them up a bit.

I also installed a new tunnel plate when the exhaust was out , can't really notice any difference.

Was it the Elite engineering tunnel plate?

Why bother to remove it?

Probably not the best mod but I think some creaking went away.

Got a deal on mine and was installed for free when I had the long tubes put on.

Tough call this mod.

The mod I regret most is modding in general. Now I have the bug again and just want more!

Regret the ported stock intake manifold. You always want more so the Fast 102 goes on Tuesday. Also, regret all the tunes I've paid for. I wish I was rich so I could have done it all at once.

Oh and for member "Its Stock", from the looks of your signature, you'd better get a new name.

Jeff

In trying to sell my car, I regret all the mods. I get to remove them which in most cases requires all the mods to be redone with inferior pieces.

I will also never again buy a corvette. I will lease it. Then I will not have to deal with people more **** than me. Its hard to sell 2005's and the ones that do sell are going for 24k and down. I almost fell out of my chair when the dealer told me it was 26k as a trade in. The biggest advantages to leasing are, it spreads the cost of payments out, no down payment, and best of all if you have even the slightest accident, the car gets a carfax report and no one will buy it. If its hit bad, the repair is ok'ed by the leasing company, they have to take it back at the end of the lease. There was never a time when I still wanted a car after it was 3 years old.

Yea I was going to keep the car stock but after a month of owning it the car felt slow and needed some more power and it is still lacking. Good choice on the FAST I have one going on soon.

Another good reason to hang on to the stock parts when modding. It's often stated that stock exhaust are not worth a dime , but when you need one to return a car back to stock , they are priceless , and can't be found when you need one the most.
