Default c6 with loudmouth exhaust

Is there anyone in the Baltimore,MD area with a stock C6 with SLP loudmouth exhaust? I am looking to purchase and would like to hear in person before I do.

On a side note I had one on my trans am bolt ons and it was actually mellow at idle, but when you get on it it is a diffrent story. I just ordered one for the vette. I also like then cause of being really lightweight and free flowing.

Sorry, I live in Ohio. I have SLP loudmouth IIs and I find them a little too loud for my tastes. I'm switching to something with a little less drone.

Too far away for Baltimore. Have the loudmouths on my C6. They sound great when you rev it up a little and going through the gears but way too much drone at highway speeds.

Thanks for the input. I just got them in and will be putting them on this Saturday. I'll post my input after.

I'm a little jealous that I have to wait for the weekend. Let me know what you think.

I installed the Loudmouth II on my base coupe. Nice improvement, subtle @ idle & very noticable under hard throttle. Then I went with Kook's LT headers & a tune. Great sound outside the Vette. Unbearable drone inside, especially with windows up. Not sure where to turn now. Don't want to lose performance or all my sound.

Bluekey28,

The drone is what is doing me in. I like the sound outside, but inside is a different story. I'm seriously considering going back to stock. I could shred the tires without the minor 10 point bump in HP, so why live with the drone.

Corsa Sports sound a little European with the stock manifolds but with LT's they sound great. I had them and switched to the Xtreme but I'm putting LT's on and I'm worried a little about how loud its going to be. Considering getting a Dynamat. The Loudmouth II lives up to its name. I love the sound but the drone was too much for me. Nothing like it though.

Sadly I think the person who started this thread has already purchased the Loudmouth II. I think he will soon know the power of the drone. I've actually fallen asleep on long drives. Thank goodness for rumble strips. :-)

On the F-body, some guys would add dynomax race bullets or the 4" round borlas to take the edge off without killing the flow. Won't make it quiet enough if you hate the exhaust, but might be enough if you are on the edge of a keep or demod decision.

Actually I purchased the loudmouths not the loud mouth II's. And from what I gather they are louder. Lol. Well I guess I'll know soon. Hopefully IMO they won't be to loud for me.

Just wanted to tell everyone I put my loudmouths on today and I think it's effing awesome. These pipes sound great and are super cheap compared to others. It sounds like a Indy car and I love the rumble when you let off the gas.

A little sound deadening will fix that drone real quick. Just need some Raammat and MLV or Luxury Liner. If you place the products strategically you won't add much weight at all, and it will all be in the rear anyhow.

I know it sold but just a quick question, these wont fit he 08 z06 right? Is there anyway to make it fit as have an exhaust shop modify the end of the pipe to 3" instead of 2.5"? Thanks.

I have the Loudmouth II on mine, and the drone is only bad at 2000rpm. I just downshift to eliminate it when I have my wife in the car. Doesn't bother me haha I can't even drive with the radio on.. I just want to hear her roar.

Cruising on the freeway in 6th gear is no problem at all. Quiet in the cockpit!

Try B&B Bullets, no drone, but they are loud. Just perfect.
