Starting the Engine while still connected to the Battery Tender
Does anyone know if it is wrong to start the engine while the battery tender (live and plugged in) is still connected to the battery?

I wouldnt make a habbit out of it but, it shouldnt hurt anything if it wasnt left on for a long period of time.

The battery tender only keeps the battery up to the full charge. If you start your vehicle it is not going to have issues!

There is a 'sequenced' startup and shutdown procedure for the tender. The main purpose for that is polarity. As long as you don't make it a habit of starting the car while the tender is connected to the vehicle and a power source, you shouldn't have any problems. Keep in mind the tender does have protective circuits.....probably idiot proof for us forgetful guys.
