My 2008 Z51 lifters seem a little noisy. The car only has 11k on the clock. It had 6k when I bought the vehicle a year ago and the lifters were very quiet. They got progressively louder. I changed the oil at 9k and they were quite again, for a while. It starts and runs fine. The noise does not vary with temp or or get louder with increased RPM. Motor rarely sees 6k RPM. Oil temp and pressures are good.

Is this normal......
With that low of miles I doubt you have lifter issues unless you have a non-oem cam/dual valve springs? Does the noise you are hearing sound like a sewing machine (normal) or more of a squeeking noise (bad lifter)? Can you post a video clip of the noise? Kind of hard to determine without hearing it.
The few times I've heard an LS2/LS3 lifter go bad the motor started sqeaking from that cylinder/head/rocker area followed by the horrid noise of what sounds like marbles in a tin can. Which causes one to think they only had a broken valve spring.
