Looks nice. I like it. I have been looking at this hood and the RK hood sold by RK and Sic quite a bit.

Default Time spent

I spent 23 hours prepping and repairing the hood before it was painted. I did the work down at my good Friends body shop called the Paint Shop in Hickory NC. Very nice work Steve. Thanks for the help and showing me what was needed to get this hood ready for paint.

That is the nicest hood I have seen on a vette other than the ZR1 hood. If I ever put an aftermarket hood on my vette it would be that one. Looks great!

Why was it necessary to spend 23 hours prepping and repairing this hood??? If a body shop had to do this and we had to pay for this...it would put it out of reach for most of us. What was so wrong with this hood that it required this amount of time to get it installed?

I'm debating buying a similar hood....but if it requires so much work before it's ready to paint, that might double or triple the price.

Best looking hood I've seen. Is the rear cowl area vented?

Except I think this hood is much better looking than the ZR1 hood.

WOW! I agree with some of the others, this is my favorite style of hood. Very sharp on your car! Two questions: 1) Is the air intake funtional? 2) Is the cowl open in the rear? If I was in the market for a hood, the amount of work to prep it is out of line. Hopefully the vendor can send out higher quality work in the future or they will get a lot of them returned.

Nicest looking after market hood I've seen. Is it a heat extractor hood?

Is this the hood, from an earlier thread, that looked like a total POS from the vendor? If so, I can see where it took 23 hrs of prep work. Nice job. Agree that it is the best looking A/M hood available. If the openings allow for better air flow and the mfg did more with initial quality, they'd sell a bunch of 'em. Looks like it belongs.

Default ah

The hood does let air in the front but does not vent in rear and yes it is the hood from my earlier post. The hood was done differently then the other hoods they turn out but he said he could make the changes needed to the bottom of the hood in 1.5 hours so it would work with the Vortech I have on my car. That I can appreciate and glad he took the time to make it work. I think when I received the hood Quality control was not up to what it should be and after they saw what I have previously posted that they would tighten up. I'm sure they can turn out good ones or there would not be as many as there on the market. Just my luck on this one but far as I was concerned I knew that I like the hood and I was going to do what it would take to make this hood right and on my car. On the top side I spent probably 1.5 hours on prep and 1 hour on damage caused during shipping. On the bottom was where the work was needed to make this a nice hood 20.5 hours. No way I would have put this on my $60,000.00 car without taking the time to make it nice. Very nice looking hood so good luck if you decide to get one and if you do just tell them what you expect.
Also there is an air intake grill that I have not finished yet because it needs modifying, sanding and paint before installing.
