I have a new 2011 GS Coupe with 550 miles on it. When I start the car I hear a clicking sound from the front of the engine, possibly from the right front. It seems to go away after about 2-3 minutes. Any ideas what this could be ??
Thanks,
DFA
You are gonna have be much more descriptive. Is it a clicking, tapping, etc? Does it change with engine speed or car speed? Whats your oil pressure at startup? Try to give as much detail as possible.
It may help with a stethoscope or long screwdriver against your ear to figure our where the noise is coming from. A vidoe with good audio would help even more.
more than likely just valvetrain noise. cant answer for sure since i cant hear it. but LS motors are notorius for loud valvetrains. noise quites down once oil thins out and properly lubes everything.
After checking everything I beleive it is the air conditioner and goes away after a couple of minutes. I will also check with my dealer this week.

Push the snowflake button and see if it goes away.
