Forgetting wear and rain, just dry road racing and autocross performance, without going to slicks, what are the stickiest stock size tires I can buy for my 2007 Z06 using my 18/8.5 and 19/12 wheels?

Are you running base wheels on the front or did you mean 18/9.5 ?
I am using TSW Nurburgrings on my regular C6 - running 18x9's up front with 275/35/18's and 18x10.5 in the rear with 305/35/18's in the Toyo R888's. Nice thing is that I can drive to events, race and drive home without changing wheels and tires anymore. If you want to know where to get them, shoot me a PM. The place I got them is not a Forum Vendor.
Thanks guys, just ordered some. Had a 94 mustang "prepared road racer" That I had NT 01's on, but it has the suspension package with panhard etc. so am a bit apprehensive, will have to learn how to drive the car, w/o "extreme mechanical grip.
The Khumo XS has a better dry rating than the RE-11
According to Tire Rack anyway.
It lapped a bit quicker, stopped shorter, cornered harder and slalomed better.
So basically, it beat the RE-11 in every dry performance test.
Wet track results are where the RE-11 beat the XS.
And in straight line acceleration.
I ran autocross 2 years on Kuhmo XS's tires including some summer driving. At the start of year 3 they gave up the ghost. That is no more than 7000 miles and still had alot of tread. Whether do to age or a harder compound once you get down some they lose alot of performance. But prior to that a very good tire except in the wet.

Usually between 30 and 33 running about 1lbs more up front. Good even wear with a aggresive street alignment. I would start out high and almost always adjusted downwards.
