If You are going to track it, the z will be better as it is lighter, better brakes and suspension, etc.
The Z also has the widebody look which is a real head turner.
My thought is you already have your favorite picked out. Go with your gut and get the one you like!

Not so fast there Danny. Not everyone around here would agree with your opinion and not in such a hurry "end this thread", myself included.
I for several reasons, prefer a good ole, plain C6 with a S/C to the Z06.

That's a very open endend question. Give us an idea of your intended use of the car, goals, budget, etc. You really can't get an accurate opinion on which one is better without some more info.

For road course I would take the Zo6 hands down, but for street strip I would want the SC C6. A properly supercharged LS2 or 3 will blow the doors off a stock LS7.

I have a Stock C6 Z06 and my uncle has a S/C'd LS2 C6. His LS2 C6 is faster it could prolly beat me by like ~2cars, but it really depends what your going for in the car. The Z06 obviously looks better but the LS2 is cheaper plus you can get it in Auto/vert/coupe.
IMO if your going to get a M6 LS2 just get a Z06, I'd only pick the LS2 S/C'd if its auto

Because if your going to get stick mine as well get a Z06 IMO. Since you get the widebody kit, 505hp stock, the Big brake kit, and all the stronger Z06 parts.
Auto would be the only reason I'd get a LS2 or LS3 C6

Why not consider a LS2 with the Z51 option and build the motor up with H/C/I? I have less than $5k in my LS2 motor and can eat up stock Z06s all day (485 rwhp). Less money spent all around...
The Z06 looks bada$$ and the SC setup is sweet, but dollar for dollar I think the built N/A LS2 is a good option (assuming you did the install yourself).

If the ONLY thing you do is a stock LS2 with a supercharger on it I'd go with the Z06. If you intend to upgrade wheels/tires, a little suspension, and some other small things then the LS2 will destroy it.
I just spent 5k for a brand new A&A kit for my LS2 and will most certainly put down well over 485rwhp

I guess the only benefit I got for the money spent would be the LS7 clutch, Walbro fuel pump, stronger push rods, upgraded timing chain, rocker arm upgrade, headers, catch can, UD pulley (got rid of that crappy GM balancer), heat soak problems, less stress on motor internals and less moving parts to fail...
Of course I'm probably trading 75-100 rwhp for it, but holding 485 to the ground it already tough below 70 mph...
Floyd, I'm just bustin your chops. You are correct, I do think that the SC setup cant be beat if you're looking for bottom line power. It just depends on what you plan on doing with the car. For me, N/A was the way to go for the road course. SC all the way for the drag strip!

Maybe with a SC, headers, and HP custom tune it could make 500+whp
