3" header X pipe to 2.5" stock mufflers
How difficult is it and what is the easiest way to adapt a 3" X pipe to the stock 2.5" non Z06 coupe axle back muffler system (daul mode).
Can it be done without welding?

Easiest way would be to pull off the entire C6Z section...manifolds, cats, mid section....then either do the mufflers too, or cut and weld an adapter piece to the mufflers.
The Z06 have a different angle at the mid pipe than the base cars, so it is more than just a change in pipe size.

Off the shelf from Kooks
I ordered my exhaust straight from Kooks that way. 1.75 Headers, hi-flow cats, 3" X & mids pair down last 2-3" to 2.5 direct fit into NPPs (or stock in your case). What I'm saying, is certain vendors already have pre-made bolt-on set up. Idk what brand you have, but check w/ them & see. Also Idk, if you can try & use non-matching manufacturers, worth asking, Calll George at Kooks.
