tire issue
I have an issue with one of my tires. Only during cold weather, the left rear tire constantly loses pressure. I took it to my local tire guy, and they removed the tire from the wheel and couldn't find anything wrong. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? No problem at all during the warmer months.
Thanks.
Thanks.

No, but some guesses: bent wheel, schrader valve leak (stem), bead seat. Did they run the wheel on a balancer without the tire on it? Did they clean the rim's edge where it contacts the tire with light emery/sandpaper? What is the tire pressure in cold weather when the tire is cold?
I guess you can just watch the tire during cold weather. Or if you want, depending on how much tread is left on the RR tire, replace only the LR tire. Doesn't sound major tho, unless you're losing a few or more pounds per day.

I've had cars that the TPMS nut was loose and leaking. So that definitely could be it. Could be salt/road grime on the bead. Could be a corroded wheel but I've only seen that in cars driving in salt for years.

Hopefully you don't have a cracked rim like I did..... It took Discount tire a couple times to find it for me.

I have one tire loses 1-2 lbs a month. Ran water over it found a pinhole in the sidewall. Now that I know what it is I'm living with it. Been over a year and haven't fixed it yet if that's even possible.
