Default MGW Fantastic

I know this has been said before, but finally got to install in my 2005 Z51 yesterday and the results are excellent. tight and precise with very little additional shift effort and no buzz. Looking forward to the up coming shifter box upgrade from them in 2 months.

Yes MGW is coming out with a replacement shifter box that will work with their shifter unit for smoother easier shifting

Do a search the owner is redesigning the box after some complaints he posted in a thread. Expects it to come next month I think.

No Not needed. Your transmission has them built in.

The "shifter box" is the bottom part of the shifter assy. Typically, it remains in the car when the top part, the "shifter" is replaced with an aftermarket part. Both parts together make up the "shift control" which is sold by Chevrolet as PN 2583-3572.

Here's a link to a thread which has some pictures:

Really like my MGW, very interested to see what they come up with to replace the stock "box".

I keep hearing about buzz from these shifters which keeps me from getting one. Isn't the buzz sound still an issue?

Haven't heard any buzz issues from MGW for a long time. No buzz in mine. Best money spent on car yet.

My MGW is terrific; I installed a new shifter box with it. No buzz.
