Is it worth the time and $ to swap my 224 cam?
I have a 224/224 115 in my LS2 A6 with AFR 205's, ARH's, 3.15's, etc.
this next week I am installing my Fast 102 intake and a FTI 3800 converter. Supposedly as is, the car makes 420/420 unlocked.
Is it worth it to swap out the 224 cam for something in the low 230's, or even at all?
Should I focus on other areas of the car?
Thanks,
Chris

It depends on what you can live with, as far as street maners with the cam and your overall goal with the car. With the new stall converter, you can definitely go bigger now A 228/232 variation would work great with that combination, and give you a nice increase in power.

Of course, this cam drives exactly like stock but sounds beefier. I want a cam that will make me go faster in the 1/4 yet still have great driving characteristics. My Silverado is my DD but I'd like the Corvette to not be bucking, surging, attraction attention to the Police, and running crapy with the A/C on, etc. I've had a 230 cam in my LS1 and it wasn't that great... (probably due to the tuning)

It depends on how much a tenth and a few mph are worth to you. Your cam wouldn't be my first choice, but no way would I change it at this point. Like you, I've already had my fill of ill mannered cams. Have "0" tolerance for 'em. Folks claim perfect manners with low 230's cams. That hasn't been my experience. And yes, I've had some pretty good tuners give it their best. Perfect must mean something different to me. I'd stick with what you have and optimize other areas.
