Pfadt Johnny O'Connell Signature Suspension

Absolutely! If you're looking to replace your F45 shocks the Johnny O'Connell Stage 1 would be a very good fit. Keep in mind that you will need to disable the F45 system with the GM Tech2 tool to tell the system not to look for feedback from the shocks... but other than that it would be a great upgrade. You should call around to some local dealers and see who can perform this quick change in your area, but once the system has been disabled the Johnny O'Connell package will bolt right up and function great just as it would on any other Corvette.

Getting ready to order this setup in the next few weeks. Anything else that would be beneficial to replace/upgrade at the same time while everything is apart? Brake lines? Bushings?

Really other than routine maintenance there isn't much touched during the JO kit installation that isn't either reused or replaced by the kit. It already replaces quite a few maintenance items, so unless other systems need attention there isn't much left to do unless you wanted to build the car a little more aggressively with Poly Control arm Bushings or a Camber kit for track use.

I also have JOC stage one package and really like it. The car does sit about 1/2 inch lower whitch i also like. I was wondering if anyone has installed the rear shock spherical bearings from pfadt and if there is any gain with handling or is it only with coilovers does this show improvment.

There will be a small change in ride quality due to a change in bar stiffness, but by far the biggest drivers in ride quality are going to be how the shocks are valved, and to a smaller extent the spring rates being used. The car may feel just a little bit stiffer when hitting a road irregularity with one side of the vehicle and not the other on a stiffer sway bar, but overall their impact to ride quality isn't nearly as big as other components in the suspension. Everyone's perception of ride quality is going to be different, but in our experience a sway bar change isn't a significant impact to ride quality.
The JO package is great! If you ran it for a year the worst case scenario is that you sell the shocks on the forum for less than what you paid, but you still got a years worth of use out of them. Since there is no fabrication involved in installing either package you can easily move from the JO package to Coilovers. In fact the JO sway bars would be a pretty good fit for a street car that does move to coilovers.

Ok so I don't have $1000 bucks to blow on car parts at the moment. However I do see that you can purchase the shocks separately from the anti-sway bars. Which should I buy first?

Hi Guys,
I have a 2006 Z06, i do about 15 track days a year and currently am unsure what package to go for.
obviously the stage 1 is great value for money but are the coil overs going to be worth the extra 2500 USD?
any advice would be great.
Also is there any major difference between the two sets of Sway bars you can buy online? , one seems thicker than the other.
thanks
Matt

If you're wanting to stay with just a shock swap...DRM makes a 'Z06 specific' valved Bilstein shock that is just wonderful on a C6Z.
A good set of coils will always be the ideal way to go if you're budget and/or driver experience allows for it. Otherwise...a set of DRM shocks and perphaps some Strano or Hotchkis sways to start off with will transform you're Z into something that will inspire more confidence thus reducing lap times.
