Default G6X3 with TFS 220 or 225?

Should have just done it right in the 1st place.

G6X3 on the way and I will be yanking my AI 243's for sale.

What is the difference going TFS 220 as cast with TEA porting vs TFS 225's from the get go? I guess I'm not clear on the 220's....

Or AI's 230 port on the TFS ?

I did TF 225's from TEA. I'd call TEA up and talk with them.

Hey Jay.

The Trick Flow 225 and G6X3 are a proven combo. Cars have hit10.5 in the 1/4 with it and 9.75 on a N2O shot on top of it. The As cast and ported sounds like a great Idead and TEA is tops but I would get the 225 cnc ported since its a proven combo. You will not get as good a result other wise and be in the same boat asking why you didnt do it right the second time too.

If you send me the FAST I will port match iit to the TF 225s. I've done a few.

I've seen 530rwhp on the TF225/G6 combo. It has an insane and violent midband and the sound is in a class of its own. The heads come with the correct combo. Allow for 11.7:1 compression for the low end TQ. The higher compression also evens out the pulses for better driveability making the cam act as if its in a bigger displacement so dont dismiss it in favor of the rumor mill saying lower compression is just as good. It isnt.

Meth injection is also a big plus for piston protection up top with the big compression in case of a bad tank of gas.

Subscribed. I'm interested to see how the build goes.

What are your dyno and track numbers now? Do you have dyno sheet?

Thank you Spin, I was actually going to direct this to you, the G6X3/TFS man.

What ammount can be milled off for the desired cc chamber (for the G6X3). Stock they are 65cc (or 64..I will doublecheck).

Thank you for the advice Spin-

The current dyno was 483/435 (AI/EPS) and I don't have the sheet. Wasn't near what I wanted so I didn't even scan it and I can't even say where it is for sure.

^^ I bet you will get 50 rwhp from this mod. That price you posted from AI seems like a good price, I didn't realize you can use factory rockers with the TF heads, I thought you needed roller rocker heads.

I'm going to be curious where it ends up on the dyno sheet. Clearly at peak; I'm curious of the comparison at 4500 on up.

If you change the guide, you can run the stock rockers according to AI.

They are a great price but either way, I will have the G6X3 (then) the TFS. I will install the G6X3 right away and possibly dyno with the AI's and also se what that brings...for shets and giggles. We'll see what time allows-

I'll have a dyno sheet from further work

Cool.

You're a better man than I attacking that power steering bracket more than once, I'd do both the cam and heads at the same time to not have to deal with that bracket two times!

No doubt but if I'm gonna rip into it again, I'm going to do what I wanted to from the start-

Im interested in this thread. I have been reasearching TFS225s, A.I. or TEA stage 243s and have a list of all of the TFS headed cars on this site as well as the A.I. & TEA 243 headed cars. If you got the cash, you gotta go TFS 225s.

Yes sir. I don't think the AI 243's are bad at all but not milling them (long stroy) they didn't have the affect I was looking for. Now if I do it all again, I'm not going through all that to mill them.

I'll keep it updated. The cam 1st, with the AI 243's then the heads...I can't afford all of it at once

Atleast we will have some info available for AI heads and G6X3.

Nope, now I am trying to find the least exspensive option for the TFS 225's. Anybody running an amazing sale? I'm going to remove the AI's to fund most of it.

The G6 is substantially bigger, you're going to definitely give up something in drivability.

I want to start taking it to the track since our move and get into my own tuning. It needs to be a maxed H/C set up.

Not worried about the difference in drivability, I'll report back the difference. I've run an MS4 and Trex in the past LS's on LS1's so no worries

Spin/Joe, should I keep the FAST 102 or go to the 92? Just curious, I don't think I am going to a NW 102 TB so it was a thought..?

This would also fund it for the mean time if it is worth it.

Thank you
