Default Threw my Fast LSXR 102 Intake on today!

Car picked up real nice with this intake and the tune isnt even close to being finalized! Im working with Lewis on a custom tune on my Diablosport INTUNE to get my ride all done up.

Mods so far:
Vararam CAI
Fast LSXR 102 Intake
SLP Loudmouth Catback
Diablosport INTUNE custom tune via Lewis

My LG Longtubes with cats will be here Friday and installed this weekend!

GOnna get her on the dyno once I get a good solid tune after some datalogs back & forth with Lewis.

im sure you will be pleased with power gains. my ls2 picked up nearly 65 hp on dyno jet with Peak Speed ported fast 102 and OBX 1 7/8 catted headers without any additional tuning. Dan

The FAST is a great mod for the LS2.

I wouldn't be jumping on it too much until you tune it, my car was lean when I put the fast on - and I needed to reduce timing as it was pinging with the FAST. It's such an efficient manifold you need less timing and more fuel.

obx headers how was the fit? was this for a 2005 ls2 or 2006?
I thought that they only made 13-4 for the ls2?

i was told that the fast 102 on my 2005 z51 would lose power. My question is that two good gm performance shops gave me two differant answers about the fast 102...
The first said that i would see power gains when i got the rpms over 4k and that it would add anywhere to 15-20 hp.
On the other hand the other shop said that a fast 102 would lose power and that it was made more for a stroker motor.
And also that my car is the only year with that computer
I trust that both shops know their stuff they are both known for corvettes and gm specifically.
Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

If you are running the stock LS2 manifold, the shop that told you that you'd loose power doesn't know much about the LSx motors. It's common knowledge that the stock LS2 mani is a dog, and porting it or replacing it with aftermarket has very noticeable gains. Porting the stock LS2 mani will gain you roughly half of what a FAST 102 will.

Do your research first. There are literally hundreds of documented threads of awesome gains with the FAST on an LS2. I made 8/15 over a ported LS2 manifold. Some places showed torque gains of 25 rwtq across the rpm band. Whoever is saying the LS2 motor won't pick up power needs to post up with why they feel that way. That's gonna be a tough argument to win here...

lol that seems to be the consensus, i just don't want to call them out as i really don't know that is why i am asking. they are a speed shop local to me and are reviewed very well here... and i have looked. what i dont understand is what dog they had in the race, i mean what is to gain by telling me not to do the mod. thanks for your thoughts i like to make a decision based on as much info as is possible

OBX 1 7/8 on 05 LS2. perfect fit and great quality at reasonable cost. paid for most of cost on my ported fast with money saved on headers. seems your corvette shops not familiar with how well fast 102 works on stock displacement LS2'S. where else are you going to pick up 65 to 75 rwhp for this kind of money

My car responded pretty well with the Fast intake and the Diablosport Intune. Car feels like it picked up a good bit and its not even dialed in yet.

I should have my LG longtubes wrapped up tommorow night!
