Joe_G has a new whip...
Getting tired of shelling out $65-$100 per week in fuel to get to work so finally joined the crowd ridin free in the express lanes...
Got a good deal on a 2010 with the rare solar roof option.
Now I can leave the skinnies on my Vette all winter.
In my tradition, I'll be heading to the strip in my new ride with temp tags...it's dialin for dollars night, perhaps I'll win by forcing my opinion to fall asleep waiting for their light!
Here's the Prius at the strip:
0-60 in 10 seconds
Here is the Vette for comparison. A little more violent.
0-60 in 2.6 seconds per my HP Tuners scan.

By the way...does anyone know of a "HP Tuners" style tuning product for the Prius? It'll only go 25 mph on battery, over that the engine kicks on. With our flat roads around here, I'd like to change the parameters to allow say 45 mph on battery...then I'll look for another traction battery out of a wrecked Prius and put it in the trunk next to the existing one to increase my range...

Well, gotta work on the reaction times. Seems the Prius, electric motor and all, doesn't respond quite like the 10.8 Vette. But it is dead nuts consistent 11.3's so it could be a good bracket car...
It runs on battery until 25 mph...so weird for me to approach the tree hearing nothing but my tires sticking to the track....

660.
I have some work to do on the Hybrid's reaction time...it certainly doesn't leap off the line like the Vette. The gas pedal has sluggish response.
I think it needs the COW Booster.
For the haters, here in FL, we have express lanes that are free for hybrids. That'll save me $150 a month in tolls right there.

Here it is with the regular tires, 295's up front 345's in the rear.
BTW I use my vehicles to their fullest potential. Don't think anyone could argue with that.
