Default Which clock spring / part nr should i order..?

Hi guys.!

Im sorry if my spelling is bad but Swedish is my native language. =)

I have a 2005 C6 and in my car is the very ugly 4-spoked steering wheel.

I have after months of searching got myself the airbag for the newer 3-spoked steering wheel and will order the centennial Steering wheel soon.

I now understand that the clock spring is different from the 2005 and 2006 years and must be changed to get the airbag and horn to work but i also read somewhere that there is different colors on the wiring from 2006 to 2008 i think.

I was wondering which clock spring i should order to fit the centennial sw without having to change connectors or rewire things. Hope someone can provide me with the correct part nr.

I know the centennial sw have buttons for radio etc but i do not care if they work just want the plugs and wires to be correct for the airbag and horn to work.

Appreciate your help

I just found out the gm part nr for the newer clock spring is 19153097

I looked at different vendors and it seems it cost about 150$. That was rather expensive in my opinion.

Maybe someone have one to sell..?

Could i use the 2006 clock spring with the newer steering wheel since im not going to have functional buttons for radio and BT..? Just want the airbag and horn hooked up. =)

Does anyone know the part number for the 2006 clock spring..? Need it so i can maybe find one on Ebay etc. If someone have one for sale then please contact me. =)

Best Regards
Peter

Thanks alot for your help ChevyDave..!!

As you showed they it should fit also 2005 but everywhere i read they ones who have updated their sw from 2005 to 2006 or newer sw had to change the clock spring to make it work.

It seems in a reply in a thread i found that it seems like the connectors to the airbag are different. Look at second post in this thread

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/audi...l-on-06-a.html

Maybe i could modify the connectors on the 2005 clock spring or solder them on or something. =)

Dont have all the parts yet so its hard to know before that but it would be nice to save about 200$ if i could. =)

Thank you again..!
