Default Need a new balancer, Which One do I go with?

I had a balancer issue and need a new one. I can go with OEM, Summit, ATI, et but Since my car sees the track, I am thinking aftermarket. I am looking for the best performance/ value. Summit is $180, Professional Products $200, SLP($200) or ATI ($400). Any feedback is appreciated

As always, thanks.

I would recommend going with ATI - http://www.atiracing.com/products/dampers/index.htm Check these items out - http://store.katechengines.com/ati-s...ts-v-p230.aspx & http://store.katechengines.com/bille...sioner-p2.aspx I replaced both of these items when my OEM balancer went bad.

That belt tensioner is still on sale, 25% off. The discount code is 4425 (last four numbers of the item part number).

I did the Jegg's Performance yesterday. 25% underdrive.
Hoping for tiny bit of more power and little more gas milage.

What a PITA to swap out.

Actually SLP is the same as Powerbond as it's Powerbond, who is the manufacturer. SLP just resells under their name.

Powerbond has been working very well for me. I went with the 25% underdrive. Good quality.

I got an SLP from summit and picked up a solid
proven two tenths on the 1/8 mile. Well worth the money and the 3-4 hrs I spent putting it on.

ATI is the best, all the rest are second rate compared to the ATI. It costs more money to go first class.

About a month ago, someone posted that he needed a new balancer and his speed shop recommended just a new GM one, said the new ones were very good quality and equal to any aftermarket.

Still running on my original, so no personal experience here...

Do a search on timing chain failure and then decide. Based on that I would stick with stock or ATI.
