Does the Texas speed cam need a tune to run it?

Just wondering...why do you want to do a cam swap and no tune?

Just looking for a close to stock cam and lifters not lookin for power. Just need to replace some damaged parts. Gm wants $1000 just for stock cam and lifters. They want $50 per lifter. And $250 for the cam. I want the car to be stock.

There are plenty of those types of parts available in the for sale section. My opinion, you're wasting money on a cam if you don't tune it and if you want it stock, buy used stock parts from forum members...they're reliable.

p/n 12499225 lifter kit 16 lifters included from GM is available for your LS2 for$134. or less.p/n 88958689 GM race lifter kit $284. or less depending on where you purchase. GM hot cam kit p/n 12480033 with springs and retainers $529. or less. this is a small cam but would still require tuneing. if you get cam for $250. plus $134. for lifters that would be $384. total.Dan
