Hud is tilted

"Tilted a bit" is kind of a relative term. Are you saying it's different than it has been in the past? Or did you just buy the car and it looks tilted to you, but it may not be?
It's pretty common for the hinge on the mirror in the HUD projector to break, but that usually causes the mirror to drop to where the image is not visible on the windshield or just barely visible on the windshield. It's possible yours suffers the same problem but, so far at least, it isn't as bad as most.
Check the video in here for more info on what you are getting into:

I will take pics when I get back from work.
It was fine until I replaced the windshield !!
I'd rather turn the hud off than doing all that work !!

Good point.
I kept looking at the windshield and the installation was very good. No scratches or anything that show something happened there. It looks the same before doing the replacement.
I will look more though.

You could try parking the car on a level surface, and hold a small spirit level even with the top or bottom of the HUD. When you adjust the HUD position, it shows four corner marks for a few seconds you could use. Then, turn the car around 180' and repeat, just in case it wasn't really level.
Occasionally, I think mine isn't level. But the next day, it seems ok.
I have not yet tried the spirit level trick.

So it looks like you have a new 427 Vert?
Do you have warranty coverage where you are?
Here's a discussion about the same issue:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-hud-tilt.html
And you could contact Andrew6 by PM. He's our HUD install expert and vendor here. He might have more to offer you beyond what he posted in that link above.
Good luck. Let us know what happens.

doubt it's truely tilted if it's a new 427. If its a bit off you can take the cluster out and shim the legs on either side to race or lower it so that it sits better to your eyes.

Find a friend with a brick house, preferable a brick garage, and a level driveway.
Pull in so you are facing the brick wall at a 90 degree angle. Be sure you are straight, and position the car so the dashed line for you G meter is superimposed on the lines of bricks.
You should be able to quickly see if the HUD is tilted.
I'd recommend trying this at a couple of locations, in case the driveway has a slight tilt that you don't notice.

If it's an 08 and in the climate that you're in I'd say that you probably do have a broken mirror pivot point. You can replace it or you can not adjust it ever again and hope it doesn't break the rest of the way.
