Default Electric cutouts and NPP

I have an 08 A6 with catless headers, moderate cam, etc, as well as the NPP exhaust. I still feel with the NPP "open", the car doesn't sound throaty enough. I don't want to get an aftermarket exhaust like the B&B bullets because I live in a quiet neighborhood (and a mile from the police department), so I need to maintain the ability to keep it tame when close to home. I also don't feel the need to spend a fortune on the Fusions, since I feel the NPP's are pretty well designed.

Does anyone have electric cutouts with the NPP? When the cutouts are open, is there a noticeable difference in tone between just the NPP open?

Ive used electric cut outs and there awesome. If u want loud then cutouts will do since there is not muffler to silence it. Basically its almost as if you are open header

Its good if you are going to the drag strip for some runs. But i would not recommend driving it daily like that since the drone would be extremely annoying unless u dont mind it lol but there fun to have

What you want is the '11+ z06 or zr1 npp. True, those are 3" but you can make them work. Believe me when I say that they are louder, even more with headers and cam.

This is mine after the zr1 npp install:

What is different with 11+ vs. 06-10 Z06 NPP Mufflers? I guess I missed that? (Mine is 2007)

Search "Muffler Mod". Earlier Z06 mufflers are quieter due to the perforated internal pipe vs the later mufflers which are not.

Thanks! Oh... That... Yes. I knew that the ZR1 Mufflers were like that. Did not know that 11+ Z06 were the same way.
