The issue is when I go in reverse it backs up about 3-4' and then locks up, I stop and it frees it up about 3-4' more. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all but it's been getting worse. It acts like it's trying to back up but it won't move, like it's fighting it.
Okay, just to clarify.......as you let the clutch out it "feels like" the brakes are applied and the car absolutely won't move or it will move with great difficulty if you give more gas and clutch?
I don't have anything to offer you at the moment so be patient for guys who know more to chime in over the next couple days. If I think of anything or find anything related I'll post back. Good luck.
I've tried to diagnose it a little closer and i dont think its my diff or brakes because when its in clutched, it reverses fine. When trying to reverse using the gas, that's when it starts to lock up.
I had the same issue the other day. It was bucking as I was trying to back up. I shut the car off and engaged the emergency brake and released it again. I fired it back up and all was well, deff the weirdest thing I have ever went through with any of my vettes. I thought it was the master cylinder going out at first because the clutch pedal even felt weird. Got it home and checked everything out and even topped off my clutch reservoir for good measures and all is well at the moment. Jay
