Check engine light/skip shift malfunction
This is an FYI.
I replaced the "skip shift fuse" with a blown "smart fuse" a few months back.Till now, everything has been fine. Just got back from a slow ride through a very hilly new neighborhood looking at houses. I was lugging 2nd gear most of the time. Like I said, this neighborhood had some very steep hills. Check engine light came on. Upon return I put a scanner on and got a message code "P0803 1-4 upshift (skip shift) solenoid control circuit malfunction".
I haven't erased it yet. I want to see if it goes away on it's own.
