Default 2008 A6 Dyno 231/238 cam

2008 LS3 A6

452whp/411wtq SAE
467whp/423wtq Standard

Comp cam 231/238 .617/.615 112lsa
LG SuperPro headers 1 7/8 with high flows
Airaid intake
Npp axle back
Yank 3600
160 Tstat

So far I'm happy with the results I was hoping for 450+ and got it. Drives great and the yank 3600 is very streetable. Gonna be hitting the track soon to get some times.

Stock:12.8@113
Intake/untuned:12.49@114
Headers/untuned:12.2@118
All these were on the factory runflats pulling 2.0-2.1 60ft. I do have 315/35/17 hoosiers for the next visit.

Any guesses for cam/stalled/tuned:???

A big part of your times depend on the DA. I ran 10's at Sacramento with just boltons in -760' and when bone stock in Phoenix it was 12.4's and 12.5's in 1000'.

You may have trouble with those 315's at your power level. You'll need to drop the pressure fairly low and it'll hurt your MPH. 275's would be a better choice if you can still swap them.

Why would the 315 have to have the pressure dropped lower than a 275?

Could only manage an 11.3@119 my first visit. Have to get the shift points readjusted. Best 60' was a 1.67. With a yank 3600 i was thinking that was going to be a good bit lower. Any ideas there?

Traction is best when the footprint length is parallel to the direction of travel. The shape of the footprint at the same pressure gets wider with wider tires. In order to change the shape of the footprint you need to increase or decrease either the pressure or the weight. Since you can't change the weight, you need to decrease the pressure of a wider tire to match the footprint shape of a narrower tire at a higher pressure.
