Default Help, Service active handling on DIC after Cam install

I did a cam swap on my 2013 Grand Sport manual trans over the weekend and now there is a "service Active Handling" and "service traction control" on the DIC. Unfortunately, none of my code readers are able to pull the codes.

The steering wheel is straight and it drives fine down the road. No airbag light.

I think the rack/steering wheel is mis-aligned since we had to spin the rack to line up the steering shaft. I'm not sure how to proceed here since I can't remember which way we spun it and I don't want to go the wrong way and destroy the clockspring when I turn the wheel..

Are the C6's like the C5's where you can test the voltage on the steering wheel position sensor blue wire to find steering center?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Is it tuned yet? Low vacuum can cause that message. Could be from the bigger cam with stock idle or a vacuum leak.

Yes was just tuned today. Active handling still on.

Cam is only 224/228.

It got a base tune today, still needs a little more fine tuning though. Apparently, the PCM was being uncooperative. I was not there though, so I'm not sure exactly what the problem was.

The cam specs are: 224/228 .604/.604 113+4 LSA

Edit: He beat me to it...

Hey Tim. After each flash the car was hard to start, would run really rough, and all gauges would read zero. We had to unhook the battery each time and then it would fire up and run fine. Never seen that before with HP Tuners but after doing some searching online others have had similar issues. Just a real pain in the *** to make changes. I just downloaded the latest HP Tuners version so hopefully we don't have this issue when we finish the tune.

Anyhow, regarding the tune,
WOT fueling and timing are good, fuel trims are good, it idles fine at 800 and comes to stop without any surging/hunting for idle, airflow tables increased for cam, misfire tables adjusted, MAF only tune. Still need to work on part throttle to get rid of some bucking. I'm not sure that the tune is causing the messages.

You guys should recheck all of the plugs and connections that were removed during the cam install to make sure they're clean/dry, and tight. These cars can be real fussy when it comes to electronics.

We're gonna check tonight and see if we can get it sorted out. The only harness connector that could be related to the warnings is for the steering rack. I double checked it yesterday to be sure it was securely plugged. I'm convinced it's the steering wheel position in relation to the rack, it's the only thing that makes any sense.

I also think the tune issues are unrelated to the active handling/traction warnings. They're a completely separate system from the pcm, but anything is possible I guess.

I'm sure he'll let you know how we make out.
