Finally! Ls3 vette in the 10's with vengeance racing kaotik
Last night I finally hit my ultimate goal of running in the 10's with my 2008 LS3 vette!! The weather down here in Florida last night at Bradenton motorsports park was awesome so I decided to head to the track to see if I can hit my goal of running 10.99 lol. Well I was able to beat that! I got to the track only let the car cool down enough to change my tires over so about 15-20 min. Took the car up to the line and was able to bust off this!
Not only was I impressed with my time but that MPH! With what little mods I have.
Here is a quick run I filmed of my speedo/tach of this 10.82 pass at 130 so I could see exactly what I was doing on the launch
Quick run down of the car for those that don't know
LS3: stock heads, stock intake manifold/TB, stock clutch
Vararam CAI
American Racing 1 7/8ths long tubes, 3" ORX, c6 z06 mufflers
Vengeance Racing Kaotik cam package
Powerbond Crank pulley

Thanks! I'd say it's very streetable bit you can tell it has a cam. Anything under 1400 or so it can jerk a little. But I absolutely love the cam!! Just picked up some gto spares so I'm hoping to get it in the 10.6 range next outing.

If those are OEM tires, there are two concerns. First is the age, since they were last produced as standard equipment on '06 GTO's. Second is the tire speed rating of "M" is only 81 MPH.
I made a couple of passes on the ones I bought in 2010 and immediately ordered M&H skinnies to replace the spares. I had stability issues and I was only running mid-11's around 123 at the time. I'm currently in the 10's at 126 and the M&H tires keep me straight and true.

Congrats! I think my buddies heard me at the starting line when I got my slip after a couple years trying to do it cam only N/A in my ls2 so I know the feeling very well.
I finally got it, going from 11.2 to 10.99 with the gto skinnies and taking my passenger seat out. It gave me a consistent .15-.2.
I liked your video, I made a similar one with my iPhone and a cheap suction mount, as you point out it's great to see what your launching at and shifting at. I wish I'd had started doing it earlier.

Thank you. I think you're the one that justin jordan tagged you in one of my Facebook posts. When i went 11.1 and you were giving me tips. Well your tips got me to my 10.8 with stock front wheels and still my passenger seat. January 3rd I'm going to our private track rental with GTO spares and front sway bar removed. This pass was still on my 5 year old mickeys lol. so ill have new ones fro the january 3rd event.
I think you have a couple more tenths in you...here's Jordan's best run following the tips but with seat out and skinnies on.

Looks great. Seems like Justin's car weighed 3100 lbs or so, mine weighs 3165 on a good day cause I don't lighten other than seat out skinnies, and its a vert. Weight really matters. Your ls3 helps a lot too.
I have to say I don't think Justin could have gotten much more out of it, but the DA was about 500 or 800 if my memory serves, if he had a negative DA day there would be another tenth or more, that also makes a big difference.
