Default Tpms question

I have a 2006 Base Corvette and I have been getting the messages service anti lock brakes, traction control, and active handling. My TPMS has also been flipping out saying XX pressure to a tire. As far as I know my TPMS has never been changed, could my TPMS be causing the other messages? I have been looking at the forum and the cause of the messages seems to be anybody's guess. But since my TPMS is more than likely bad fixing them may clear the messages?

Not likely.

Has your car had the Service Active Handling recall/TSB service done, to install the clip on the connector in the steering column? If not, see the Service Active Handling Consumer Action sticky at the top of the Tech Forum.

The "XX" for the TPMS usually means a communication problem or, considering the age of your car, a failed TPMS battery.

I went to the local dealership here and asked if my car had any recalls to do and one of them was done by the first owner. I don't believe it was the TPMS recall, they looked it up and said mine doesn't have any recalls for my VIN.

Not arguing with you, just want to make sure you aren't overlooking a safety issue. Here's more info and a portion of the Recall #10118:

Bad or dead sensor can give you those messages.

Go to a tire place or dealer and they scan your TPMS and tell you.

Any tire shop can trigger the TPMS while still on the car to see if the TPMS is sending out a signal when triggered (will show up on the tool). If the tool is not picking it up, then the battery is dead in the TPMS and will need a new tpms.

With all the TPMS being around the same age, just buy 4 New OEM TPMS, and have them changed all at the same time.
Note, TPMS sensor in in the wheel/rim, and do not confuse it with the wheel speed sensor.

As for the rest of the messages, if you have a telescoping steering wheel, then there is a safety recall since it can disconnect the harness in the steering column to cause these problems.

If no telescoping steering wheel, then pull the trouble codes (auto parts store will pull this for you for free), and post back with it. Hence the problem could be as simple as one of the wheel speed sensors connector loose or sensor on the way out.

To add, if you have after market braided brake lines, can cause the same problem with static charge to the wheel speed sensors as well.
