2009 driveline interchangeability
Hello,
I've got an 09 body needing a torque tube, transmission and carrier and I want to be sure of what will fit.
From what I gather, the torque tube was shortened in 09 for the m6 but remained the same for the a6. I've read that the 09 differential is different but also that its the same. Is maybe the case the same but the side covers different?
The rear cradle has two different mount locations. Is the differential further forward on the manual cars? Or are the two locations so that the cradle can be used as a replacement in an earlier body, and does that mean an 08 differential and torque tube can be used?
The engine cradle also has two locations for the motor mounts. The second is shifted back and to the passenger side of where the mounts were originally. Car is originally a manual.
