Default Cam suggestions?

Ok so ive done everything ive wanted besides cam & supercharge my ls2 convertible. Headers, ported intake, & tb, cat-less exhaust with glasspacks. Vararam aircharger intake & a diablo sport intune to calibrate everything. My question to ya'll is it a good idea to put a big cam in my automatic ls2? My friend said it may be problematic since its my daily driver, as in it always wants to accelerate. Also ive seen some 300-500 "performance" cams on ebay. Are those garbage?

Ebay is not the place to buy cams.

"Big" cams create some issues with low end drivability. "Big" cams in auto cars create even more drivability issues at low end and often require a higher stall speed converter.

The bigger the cam, the worse these issues are. Do a search on this forum for great cams that do not create these issues.

Do a search for spinmonster cam on this forum. It's one of the best daily driver friendly cam out there that makes good hp. With ported stock heads and this cam I picked up approx. 90rwhp. You should budget around 2k for all parts(cam, ls7 lifters, new timing chain, high volume oil pump, BTR dual springs and prods, cam install and tune for a cam install. FWIW I spoke with Pat G and he also said it's a great ls2 cam.

I have an auto trans with a circle d stall converter. YOU WILL WANT A STALL CONVERTER if you have an auto trans. You can pick cams that work with the stock stall but you will have to make some compromises. Besides, a stall converter is one of the best mods for an A6 or A4! Here's my car after the heads/cam.
