G1 Swaybar Install

Installing G1/T1 swaybars in my C6Z and have run into a problem with the bushing and bracket. The size of the bushing will not allow me to fully tighten the mounting bracket to the frame of the car. I have researched this and the only thing I have found is that washers should be used to shim the open space. Also found this does not occur on all cars which is very odd to me. Wanted to see if other have run into the same issue.

mostly beecause of varying bushings and bar tnickness.
the outside diameter is the same but when you put in a thisker bar you need a bigger opening and the bushings are not uniform
