Default 4L65E Rebuild Questions

I am having my M32 4L65E Transmission rebuilt and have done some research and found some things that I am curious about. If there is a Transmission Specialist here I would appreciate your help.

I have seen a few hard parts that now have updates that either are weak points or prevent future problems. Specifically the Updated Pump Bearing or Stator Washer to avoid damage to the Sun Shell. The Sun Shell itself but TCI said I do not need one with my application so I am curious about the Bearing or washer since a new shell is not needed.

My Trans guy uses High Energy frictions but I am considering Alto Red Eagle Frictions and Kolene Steels instead.

I was told by TransGo that the TransGo 4L60E-HD2 kit will help fix problems and give me better performance along with the 700-PKH Performance Pump Rings.

I think that Alto Red Eagle makes a Master Rebuild kit that has most of the things I need except the two TransGo parts so would I need the Alto Red Eagle Master Rebuild Kit plus the two TransGo Kits mentioned or is that all I need or am I duplicating parts?

I do not race or do track days, I may take it to a Dragway a few times a year for fun, other than that just spirited driving. So I do not need to make it bullet proof, just maybe bullet resistant.

Any help on this is appreciated, and I have not talked to my Trans Guy about the parts yet, I am sure he knows but I do not and maybe others may be interested to know also.

Thanks for your help,

Rick

I did, the problem I am having is since my 4L65E is in a Corvette, it already has some of the updates over a Non-Corvette 4L65E. Such as the updated sprags, 13 vane pump, 5 Pinion Planets, Corvette Servo, Aluminum pistons and aluminum Servos, those are stock in the Corvette one but not the non-corvette one so they list them as upgrades when they are for the normal 4L65E but not a Corvette 4L65E. So it is the upgrades specific to a Corvette 4L65E I am interested in.

Like the Sun Shell problem can be fixed with the updated pump bearing that removes the endplay that causes the weakness. So I need the corvette specific upgrades.

But thanks..
