Belt Guards
I was wondering if anyone has found (or heard of) a vendor that makes "belt guards" for those of us that have blowers like Whipple, Magnuson, etc.? In my case, the 6 rib belt on my LS3 has come off (broken) and damaged the hood, even leaving spider cracks that can be seen on the top side of the hood and I would like to prevent the next belt failure from coming completely thru the hood.
Yes, I understand I should re-tool my setup with 8 ribs, but that has been tried on this car and failed, because of "belt flapping", so I was told by the people who built the Vette.
So anyone that has some ideas about protecting the hood under these circumstances, please chime in, I would like some input.
