Default Trunk Partition - Broken Anchor Point

I have a 2006 Convertible and the plastic peg that the trunk partition snaps on to has broken. It is the left hand one, that does not have the sensor switch in it. I have looked all over the web trying to find a place to buy one, no joy. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this part? Thanks in advance fellow forum members.

I don't know if that's a separate part you can buy (separate from what, I'm not even sure).

I'd do two things: go find a convertible top replacement shop in your area, preferably one that does Corvettes (you might ask a local Corvette club in your area who they typically use outside of dealerships).

And, I might write to Gene Culley on here and ask if there is a separate part for that sensor. He is now with his own company called Cultrag. Look him up via search in red band above by going to advanced search and typing in either his name or the co. name.

Come back and tell us what you find out.

If you could buy it separately I would say get it from the dealer. I'm not positive the piece you're talking about but you mug have to buy the whole partition. Hopefully not.

I have an 09 vert and just broke my trunk partition anchor point. I called my local Chevy Dealer about a replacement and he can't find it. I would like to find the part numbers for both the anchor point on the driver side and the anchor point with/sensor on the passenger side. Can anyone help with these part numbers or point me to a dealer that is hot with vette parts.

Thanks

I found this post with the info on the part. It was a post by Eritosthenes.

I also found the P/N for the Passenger side w/ switch (20920495) 15284116.

"Last week a small plastic part broke after twelve years: the black peg that a convertible's folding trunk partition snaps onto on the driver's side. When the little stump broke off from fatigue, I could not raise my convertible top. Fortunately this happened at the dealership where one of the service guys did an emergency repair with some quick-set epoxy. The parts department didn't have a replacement in stock, but was able to special order it from a warehouse. The repair lasted long enough to get the top up, and the replacement part came in three days later. Five minutes with a 7mm nut driver and all was well again.

The part number for this little gem is GM 10371640. It's called a "cover" on most part sites. Gene Culley sells it for $17.73 at https://www.cultragfactoryparts.com/...cover-10371640. It's no longer in production, so I strongly recommend all C6 vert owners buy one and stow it in a cubby before it breaks. If and when it does, you won't be able to raise and fasten the folding partition as required. The safety interlock switch on the right side won't close, and even if the trunk lid is closed the power top cannot be raised or lowered."

I couldn't wait for the part so I found a wooden dowel slightly larger than the inside of the anchor point. Sanded it to fit the exposed tab that sticks out and epoxied it to the tab and filled it with epoxy. I also did the same thing to the passenger side to reinforce it. The Passenger side w/ switch P/N is (20920495) 15284116.
