Default Putting Zo6 front nose on base

Seen base C6's with Zo6 nose so assume its an easy bolt right up installation?

If so, will any C6 year work on my 2006 Z51?

I think you need to fenders too or it won't match up.

Company's do make aftermarket fiberglass bumpers that replicate the Z06 look. C7 Carbon, Rpi Designs both have them. C7 carbons uses the Z06 upper and lower grill. RPIs uses a Z06 upper and base lower grill. Born of these bumpers fit base front fenders. An actual OEM Z06 bumper will NOT fit base fenders without modification. The photos you are seeing are probably replicas. Although a few members have successfully modified OEM bumpers to work.

Here's a photo of C7 carbons:

Hopefully this helps, Austin

I have a used C7 carbon one that will be way easier to repaint and put on than modify an OEM one. Let me know if interested

Getting the add on components will give you much more down force, there's a company that provided such test results but I can't remember who it was.

Personally I really like the front intake scoop, couple this with the Zr1 spoiler and it would look awesome.

Check out SS-Vette.

Excellent prices for body panels that fit as well as OEM. They make a "Z" nose that fits the base car.

The only downside is the bumper/nose is fiberglass and not as flexible as stock.

Well apparently it can be done with a bit of hacking. Sine it's not a street car I may be ok with that unless I can find something after market. Looks like C7 no longer makes them and not crazy about the fiberglass version. Any others?

As you know, the Z06 bumper has been installed on base cars many times over the years and it doesn't require considerable modification. Poly is fairly flexible, but the fender seams WILL NOT be perfect.

SIC Motorsport makes a polyurethane Z06 front bumper (not always in stock). Some like it and some say they had problems. Search and you will find threads discussing both options.
