Which spark plug wires?

Doing headers and replacing plugs and wires. I chose these instead of OEM.

After you change wires, would you post up how much of a performance change it made and how many miles you went before the change?
I'm at 127K miles with the OEM wires and I think they still work OK.

OEM wires aren't bad and the heat shields are good. They're short enough on LS engines that it's not a big deal. Plenty of 1000rwhp guys running OEM wires. I'm not at that point, but I am running stock wires.. got rid of my MSD ones and went back to OEM ones.

I am with the OEM crowd, have lots of mods, race, and remove & replace plugs often to read, and always a new set indexed in for every race day, replaced the OEM with OEM

I agree with most of the above. I have 2 modded LS based vehicles and I have only used OEM wires for both. Combined they have 125k miles and a few 1/4 mile and HPDE days in there with no wire related issues to speak of. Plus they're inexpensive and relatively easy to find. If you're dead set against OEM for whatever reason, I hear good things about Taylor.

The wires are only a couple of inches long so they are just not a critical element. If you want to replace them for looks, then use that as the criterion to buy new ones...nothing wrong with wanting the dress out the engine compartment. Unless something has happened that damaged the original wires, new wires are not needed for performance reasons, especially on a car of this age.

OEM wires work great imo. I wanted to change mine during my newest build and went with Firecores, which retain the stock metal heat shields. They are working great too, but I cant say for certain if they are any better than OEM.

I did ask because first I had no idea like everything else has a life expectancy how often its change and at the same talking wanting the dress out the engine compartment. Thanks everyone.

I went with some MSD wires recently as they were more pliable and I could bend them out of the way of the headers more easily. Plus they look nice. They were like $50 or so. My car has 86k miles on it.

When I used to care about underhood appearance, I bought a set of colored heat boots. If your wires are still good, you could get heat boots in just about any color you'd like. That way you'll save money, protect your wires, and add some aesthetics to your engine bay. You also get to reuse them when you do decide to swap wires.

There were tests and dyno comparisons done and it was found that many aftermarket replacement plug wires actually lowered performance (HP).
Stick with OEM's
