Hey man those are super numbers for an ls2 congrats, now if you think gears will increase your dyno numbers you are thinking like I did but I was in for a surprise found out gears reduce resistance which is what dyno measures, I went from 3.47 to 4.10 gears and power went from 643 whp to 586

you need a 410 gear for good performance and driveability, a 342 gear is to high for the cam for freeway driving in my car. Good job on cam spec Dave! Question I wander if fly cutting the pistons help at low lift unshroud the valves in a 4" bore.

Great numbers. Wondering how close the piston to valve clearance is? I am doing the same thing with the G8 heads. I'm going to mill them 10 to 20 thousandths and I am concerned about it. I only have the Texas Speed MS3 cam with 111.

Seems like he told me he flycut due to lack of clearance, somewhere around .050" before he cut.

He will chime in and let you know.

I had to cut mine 95 thous which only gives you about 75 usable clearance , i had 30 th when i started. The best info i can give you is to go to post #17 , dyi section label fly monster. Good luck with your build.
