Default LG Motorports 6L80E Transmission Cooling Step I

LG Motorsports DEEP SUMP 6L80E transmission pan

  • Increase transmission life
  • Increase transmission fluid volume
  • Lower operating temperatures
  • no loss of ground clearance
  • bolt on replacement
  • LG track and street proven

Step one in making sure your transmission run cool and healthy is to make sure it has plenty of transmission fluid to circulate. More fluid means more heat absorption.

Our high capacity deep sump oil pan is the LARGEST pan you can fit on the 6L80 on a late model performance car such as the Corvette without ground clearance issues.

Pan fits any 6spd auto 6L80/90E equipped vehicle including the 2014 C7 Corvette. Great for street cars, drag racing, autoX, or road course work.

RedLine D6 ATF suggested.

In stock and shipping now!!!

That's some good looking welding...is it done with a robot or by hand?

Anthony,

Is there an easy way to add an external cooler in addition to your sump? I already have a DeWitts.

Thank you!

There are different ways to do it, and generally I still keep the cooler in the radiator and add a second one inline after the radiator. Depending on power of the car, converter size, and use what you would need for a second cooler.

All going to depend on the setup of the car. More fluid is going to slow the rise of heat in the transmission as you have more fluid to move around and the pan itself is open to more air flow around it so that will help as well.

That isn't to say this would eliminate the need for a good cooler on the car, especially with a higher stall converter.

I would expect 10 degree drop if not more with just the pan, but again it is going to take it longer to get there.

Default ground clearance photos?

Got any before and after photos of the stock vs LG pan?

I have a base 2008 C6 w/ softer Bilstiens so ride height should be very clos to stock. Stock A6.

Can you message me cost?

TIA, Peter
