Default Manual Grand Sport vs Z06 Differential

What is the difference between the Z06 and Manual Grand Sport differentials? I've found posts by Rodney at RPM transmissions stating that they are the same yet they have different part numbers. Does anyone know what the difference is? My searches have brought up nothing definitive. The Differential I am specifically talking about is out of a 2010 manual GS.

Your question is open ended they are both 3.42 gears not sure of the internals the best performance gift you can get for you car is a 4.10 diff if performance is in your mind. The optimum N-A performance gears are a 13 to 1 first gear reduction GS manuals are 10.1574 the 4.10 brings it up to 12.177 way better on the clutch and way faster acceleration and way less bugging off the line on high traction tires.

I have a '11 GS and the diff internals are the same as the base car save for a 30 spline heavy duty input shaft as the ZO6 and in my A6 no speed sensor on top of the housing so the casting number on the C6 GS manual car may be different than the A6 GS car (if your manual car have a speed sensor on top) like the Z.

The auto GS has the weaker parts, that's common knowledge.
The question is what is the difference between the manual gs diff and the z
Diff, based on what I read, rodney said they are the same. But why the different part numbers? Trying to get to the bottom of what exactly is different between them that they warrant a separate part number.

Question was not open ended

Rick at RKT56 just sent me a PM informing me that they are identical to the C6Z inside and out but just has a different PN, guess that answered my question!

Thanks guys.
