Hey guys, was helping my friend change a cracked radiator, for the Dewitt's aluminum radiator. Got the old one out and new one is in. Need some help, new radiator is in and fit perfectly.
I got the passeneger oil cooler lines in but I can't seem to get the driver side oil cooler lines. They won't fit all of a sudden, we unscrewed the pieces that the lines snapped into from the old one and put them on the new radiator but they won't go/snap in, are we missing something? (The bottom one went in but there is no metal bracket holding it in place since we lost it..
Also some advice on getting the damn Lower radiator hose on the passeneger side in? It seems no matter what we do we can't get it on.... Driver top oil cooler hose Close up Trying to fit it in

Try to re route the oil line as it needs to go straight in.
Next thing the e chips need to be there or the lines will pop out and you will loose all the oil or fluid.
Most auto parts stores have assortments of clips. Take the fitting off and make sure the clip you use will go all the way down in the slots. (Nasty result if you don't)
As for the radiator hoses you can heat them with a heat gun to soften them and make them slide on easier. Wear gloves so you don't burn your hands on the hot hose.
Last of all good luck
We found that the pet **** for the new Dewitt radiator is leaking and won't fully close....
I had tha problem too.
As to the other take off the small vent hose at the right top of the radiator
Then it will be easier to fill completly you have an air bubble trapped
I don't know if its been mentioned but I believe you have the top bushings on the bottom and the bottom bushings on the top. Swap them around and things my line up better.
That's what I did too. I believe I disconnected the condenser and just pulled the whole assembly out in one piece. But I could be making that up, hard to say
