Default Has anyone ever seen a radiator leak like this??

The radiator on my C6 doesn't leak when I start and run the car, it leaks after I shut the car off and it cools completely down, most times I don't see a leak until the next morning when I check.. The next morning the drivers side of the radiator plastic is completely soaked with coolant and has dripped on the floor..Have any of you ever heard of a radiator leaking in this manor, any radiator I have seen leak has always happened when the car is warmed up and pressure is put on the system??....Thanks WW

Most likely a cracked plastic tank. Pretty common issue. I don't recall anyone mentioning leaking only after car cools down but maybe most don't pay that much attention.

The plastic tank is starting to go...mine did the same thing and then it finally blew through even when running. Going to need to replace the radiator.

You guys were right...The radiator is leaking at the seam in the front , then running around to the back where I could see it...I guess it was sealing when it got hot, then leaking when it cooled off and the seam opened up... Looks like I'm spending another $400.00 at Rockauto.com and working on my car a few days....Thanks for the help..... WW

PS.... Does the plastic cover in front of the condensor in the photo below have screws or connectors at the bottom under the car... I removed 2 plastic push pins on the sides, but something at the bottom is stopping it from coming out??

Buy a Dewitt or a Z07 radiator, no plastic tanks on them.

To much money for the Dewitt's radiator right now.. Just had a $10,000 roof put on last week.... Dewitt does make a great product, I have one in my 89 Corvette with the 383 motor and it will run 180 degrees all day long. The Z51 radiator at Rockauto is an AC Delco and has a limited lifetime warranty, it should last at least as long as I have the car.......WW

You probably already have the DIY, but I'll add it for anyone else that may need to remove their radiator.
