Default 2007 c6 base NGK TR6 SN: 4177 ok to run?

I have a 2007 c6 base with 1 7/8 texas speed headers, X-Pipe, corsa sport, ramair intake, and MSD wires. I new to American cars and to V8's expescially. (Last car was a stage 2, 2016 STI)
My tuner/friend suggested them but when I went to get the plugs the parts manager continued to tell me they would not run very well and would cause problems. I contacted my tuner and he said they are the exact ones he said to get. Am I over thinking this or do they need to be changed for something else?

thanks in advance!!

They are fine. I have a 07 z51 with an a&a supercharger and I'm running the NGK TR6, I will be switching to the BR7EF when I cam the car which will be soon. I think your tuner would know more than a parts manager at an auto store as well.

There's absolutely no reason to change from the stock plugs the way you're configured. The TR6 plugs have been known to cause issues. Argue it if you wish. I wouldn't use them if you gave them to me.

I agree, as the TR6 plugs are crap! Apart from the car not running right with them installed, I even had engine knock with them at friggin idle.

I agree and wouldn't run them either.got a set of those NGK's with supercharger but installed the ZR1 Iridium plug instead.no issues with them ever.if GM can warranty the ZR1 engine for 5 years with those GM iridium plugs then that is good enough for me
