Default Standard C6 to Z06 Performance

My uncle has a 2010 Vette with 35,000 miles on it. He added the Kooks headers and X-pipe and Borla exhaust. He wants to have the performance of a Z06 and which modifications would it take to get him there in a package like head/cam swap that the car is still driveable anywhere?

Heads/cam will definitely get him there. Matter of fact just a cam can put him in the 480-500 RWHP, which will beat a stock Z06.

The cam alone that will put an LS3 on a par with a 427 LS7 will not be fun to drive on the street.

I have stroked LS3, 540 rwhp, Willwood Brakes, LG Coilovers and other suspension upgrades and I have no problem with stock Z06's.

10-4, has a 100+ HP advantage at the rear wheel.

In a straight line? Dyno? Or overall? You need power, braking, suspension, tires, etc if you want to match a z06.

Z06 are soooo cheap now that he would be better off selling the 2010 and just buying a z06.

I have Fast 102, headers, x pipe, milled and ported heads, cam on my ls3 and I have a stock z06 I can easily say that my ls3 is faster than my Z. But for the overall z feel not just accelelation, Buying a Z06 is the cheapest option. As the others mentioned sometimes its not funny to drive a cammed ls3 on street. Depends on the cam and the person though
