Does anyone make a 17x12 chrome ZR1-style rear wheel that would fit the back of a 427 convertible and allow me to run 17" tires with the diameter close to stock? Will that even work if I just want to swap them (no mods to the car)?

Just thinking out loud, I will probably never put up the money. But just in case I get a big bonus or something...

I do not drag race the car, but more traction would be good, and I think it would look great. I would love to see pics if anyone has them.

You can send your wheels out to get widened.

Would a 17x12 work without causing problems? I guess I could buy a narrow 17" ZR1-style wheel and have it widened.

I'm really just wondering if anyone already makes a wheel like that.

If you're planning to drag race you don't need a 12" rim. I was running a 9.5 inch replica with a 315/35r17 and ran tons of 1.4x runs. My current rims are a 10" and bested 1.39 60ft.
