Default Ball joint install (boot snap ring)

This may be a dumb question... I have been installing a set of Moog ball joints. I assume the rubber boot slips into the groove(sounds easy...) and then the snap ring go's on over the rubber boot to hold it in the groove?

Thx, I just want to make sure I am tackling this correctly.

Reading the instruction from the link. So the snap ring does go over the boot in the base? It was a little unclear to my dumb ***. lol

From the instructions on the link, you put the snap ring over the top of the ball joint, and work it downward (spiral is what they say) with a flathead screwdriver into the groove.

Ok, Wow! Was not easy. The snap ring go's over everything after the boot is on. Holds tight!!!
Thx for your help. It all makes sense now.
